South Texas All Star Basketball Camp

History

The South Texas All-Star Basketball Camp has built a reputation for its excellent supervision and organization in its 29 years of operation. The camp is the oldest and most prestigious in the South Texas area. It first began in 1986 with an enrollment of 90 campers for a one-week session. The camp has grown to be the largest camp of its kind in the South Texas region, with nearly 300 campers expected this summer. A heavy emphasis on fundamentals is a trademark of the South Texas All-Star Basketball Camp. In particular, the offensive skills of shooting, dribbling, passing, and individual moves will be stressed during drills and other learning situations. Campers are grouped by grade and/or skill level for both games and drill situations. Safety of camp participants is of utmost importance to the South Texas All-Star Basketball Camp Staff. The premier summer camp in Corpus Christi, the South Texas All Star Basketball Camp has served boys and girls from 1st-12th grades for nearly 30 years. Not only will our campers develop fundamental basketball skills, but they will learn from high school and college coaches from throughout the South Texas area.
