South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Inc. (SPWRC) was founded in 1988 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to two core missions: Providing humane care and rehabilitation for orphaned, injured, ill, and displaced wildlife, with the goal of releasing them back into their natural habitats. Delivering environmental education that fosters appreciation for wildlife as a vital natural resource, ensuring conservation efforts for future generations. As a wildlife hospital, SPWRC operates strictly as a rehabilitation facility and is not open to the public. We are licensed by Texas Parks & Wildlife, US Fish & Wildlife Service, and USDA, but we receive no government fundingour operations rely entirely on donations and community.
