Dr. Timothy J. Choi is an orthopedic spine surgeon with advanced training in complex and minimally invasive spinal procedures. A Dallas-Fort Worth native, he’s proud to care for patients in his hometown. Dr. Choi earned his undergraduate degree from Austin College, graduating summa cum laude, and received his medical degree from McGovern Medical School in Houston. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of New Mexico and a spine surgery fellowship at the San Diego Spine Foundation. Dr. Andrew Freese specializes in Sports Medicine for all ages at AOA Orthopedic Specialists in Arlington, Dallas, and Irving. Dr. Freese graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Indiana University in 2017, and spent an additional year fellowship-training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the University of Iowa. Dr. Freese proudly served as a team physician for the University of Iowa’s football, basketball, and baseball athletic programs and will be working with University of Texas at Arlington as a team physician with AOA. He aims to offer cutting-edge approaches to complex sports injuries in North Texas.

Dr. Jonathan Walsh joins our team as a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with a specialization in adult reconstruction, including complex primary, revision total joint surgeries and robotic assisted joint replacements. His comprehensive training, diverse experiences, and enthusiasm makes him a valuable addition to our practice. During his undergraduate studies, he gained valuable experience working as a Medical Assistant at AOA Orthopedic Specialists, where he worked with Drs. Brentlinger, Burnett, and Hilliard. Initially uncertain about specializing in orthopedics, his five years at AOA profoundly shaped his passion for the field. His mission is to positively impact individuals’ lives through effective and innovative solutions.
