Lovely short hike. Perfect weather in December, was 68 degrees on the 8th. Mostly shaded. Lots of sand to walk through. The canyon was breathtaking. Loved the educational plaques along the trail.

This is such a neat place to visit, albeit quite out of the way! It's about a 40 min drive from the main road along the Maxwell scenic highway (it's a beautiful drive) to reach the parking area....
