After practicing in The Woodlands for several years, Dr. Clint Cheng joined St. Joseph Family Medicine in 2010. He chose to practice here because he was impressed with the quality of doctors focused on excellent medical care and high ethical standards. Dr. Cheng believes St. Joseph, as a team, cares about what is right for the patient. Dr. Cheng entered the medical field because it combined two of his greatest desires: serving others and being intellectually challenged. Upon graduating from Duke, he attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Fluent in English and Vietnamese, and proficient in Spanish, Dr. Cheng most enjoys the connections and trust built over time with his patients. In fact, he believes long-term doctor-patient relationships are one of the most important aspects of medicine. Being a family medicine physician allows him the opportunity to build those relationships with not only one patient, but the entire family. In treating multiple members of the same family, he also gains insight into how to treat each individual in the family. When not at work, Dr. Cheng spends his time with his wife and two young sons. She completed her family medicine residency at SUNY-Buffalo.
