Received a quote of $600 for two springs + labor for torsion spring replacement which I declined. I had another company come and replaced for $295+ tax. That seems a huge cost disparity.

I wouldn't use them. I paid $640 for a new Genie opener (nothing special) and it lasted a year and a half. No more warranty. They wanted to replace the motor for $379. Nope! Go to home depot....
