Marine Military Academy

Founded in 1965, Marine Military Academy is a private college preparatory high school for young men, performing on the traditions and ideals of the United States Marine Corporations. The school offers preparatory curriculum for boys in kindergarten grades eight through 12, and one-year post graduate study. Its curriculum includes a wide range of subjects, such as English, math, social science, foreign language, marine sciences, and various general science programs, including health, business computer applications and information systems, business computer programming, computer science, and desktop publishing. The academy houses Harold James Memorial Library, which serves as a resource center for the academy's educational programs. Marine Military Academy also provides various athletic programs, such as football, tennis, volleyball, boxing, track and field, golf, basketball, soccer, and softball. Located in Harlingen, Texas, it also houses a museum and gift shop featuring a wide range of gift items, jackets, T-shirts, mugs and watches.
