As a new patient, we will send you a new patient packet that will provide us with all the necessary medical and dental information. We will also do our best to verify your insurance benefits prior to your first appointment, so please have this information when you call the office. When you arrive to your first appointment, you will be greeted by our friendly front staff and given a tour of our office to help familiarize you with everything. We then take any necessary xrays and perform a comprehensive evaluation of your oral health, which includes looking for any cavities and evaluating your gum tissue. We will also discuss any medical conditions that may affect your oral health, such as medications or sleep disorders. During the exam, we encourage patients to ask any questions or concerns they may have, such as cosmetic treatment, implants, or sedation dentistry, so that we are able to address all your dental needs. After we have completed the exam and answered all your questions, we will work with you to develop a treatment plan that is customized for you. Depending on the amount of work and the type of cleaning required, we may either get started on your cleaning that day, or reschedule you to come back. We try to accomplish the cleaning and exam on the same day, but occasionally, it is necessary to come back for the cleaning.
