Known locally as FOX 7, KTBC is the FOX affiliate for Texas capital city, Austin. While providing standard FOX programming throughout the day, the television station also broadcasts local and paid programming. The crown jewel of KTBC is its local news outfit that airs 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. daily. The news program features news, sports, weather and health during the evening time slots, but features more lighthearted fare between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. daily on the program News in the Morning, such as Pet of the Week and Cooking.
