Ali Ziaolhagh, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained nephrologist focused on autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), nephrolithiasis (kidney stones), hypertensive nephropathy, cardiorenal syndrome, and glomerulonephritis. He’s also an assistant professor of renal diseases in the Department of Internal Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. A core faculty member of the medical school’s Nephrology Fellowship Program and the Internal Medicine Residency Program, Ziaolhagh has a key role in training and educating medical students, internal medicine residents, and nephrology fellows. He serves as the medical director for the ADPKD Center of Excellence leading initiatives to enhance specialized care for ADPKD patients. After completing his initial medical education and basic training in Iran, Ziaolhagh moved to the United States to pursue additional training in postgraduate studies.
