Hurst Police Internal Affairs

The Hurst Police Department-Uniform Patrol Section conducts initial investigation and completes preliminary reports. It assists disabled motorists, investigates traffic accidents, conducts routine patrol and enforces traffic laws. The section features a computer-aided dispatch system that assists in responding to calls for service. The Uniform Patrol Section registers complaints and conducts enquiries in cases of racial profiling. It also investigates accidents, controls traffic, and researches, analyzes and evaluates traffic-related issues. The section maintains patrol statistics and issues citations for seat belt violations. The Hurst Police Department is recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). It is located in Hurst, Texas.
