Danica J Lapid, MD, is enthusiastic about providing evidence-based, patient-centered care for her patients. She wants her patients to feel heard and empowered throughout the treatment process. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Studies and Psychology at the University of Notre Dame, Lapid returned home for medical school at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. With an interest in women’s health, she additionally pursued a dual degree in Master of Public Health at the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, trying new restaurants in the Houston area, and doing DIY projects.

About UsSalman Alim, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist with his own private practice in Humble, Texas. He is committed to helping individuals living in and throughout the Greater Houston area breathe more efficiently so that they can experience a better quality of life.Dr. Alim completed medical school at The Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. After relocating to the United States, Dr. Alim completed his internal medicine residency at the Drexel University College of Medicine in 2008. He then completed a pulmonary fellowship at Rosalind Franklin University in July 2014 and a pulmonary critical care fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida in August 2015.At his pulmonary critical care private practice, Dr. Alim diagnoses and treats a variety of respiratory issues, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cough, COVID lung, pulmonary hypertension, and shortness of breath.
