History
November 22, 2021 is when we opened out doors! The word Herencia (inheritance, heritage, legacy) carries much meaning to us. We want to honor the legacy of someone very important to us. In November of 2020, we lost a major pillar in our life-- Joel's mom, Monica. Her passing not only impacted the lives of our family but also the surrounding community of Dumas. Through our love of coffee, we saw an opportunity to share the greatest inheritance she could have left us -- her heart of joy and selflessness. Also, as second generation Americans, our Mexican heritage is a huge part of our life and as such, we wanted our name to reflect that.
Specialties
We seek to serve the best possible cup of coffee in a cozy and relaxed environment. Herencia is based on fair and sustainable trade, taking care of every detail, from the farmer and the beans to the barista and the cup. We love good coffee, and we are fascinated by what it produces: the conversations, the ideas, the ties, and the moments.
