Francisco Fuentes, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiovascular disease specialist treating patients with heart-related conditions. He’s the T.R. & M.O. Susan Laing, MD, is a professor of medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston). She holds the John Edward Tyson Distinguished Professorship in Cardiology. She serves as associate chief of the Division of Cardiology, the associate program director of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program, and the director of the Echocardiography Laboratories for UTHealth Houston and Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center. She holds one patent on a novel echogenic vehicle for clinical delivery of plasminogen activator and other fibrin-binding therapeutics to thrombi. She is a Fellow of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, and American Society of Echocardiography. She is designated as a certified physician executive.
