Established in 1978, Families in Crisis is a United Way agency that assists and empowers the victims of family violence and sexual assault in Bell, Coryell and Hamilton counties in Texas. The organization offers transportation assistance; provision of food, clothing and personal items, and referrals to medical, legal, law enforcement and social service agencies in the community. It provides a 24-hour crisis hot line, as well as intervention counseling and support groups. The organization conducts various workshops and educational training sessions.
