Denton Community Food Center - DCFC

Denton Community Food Center is a non-profit organization that has been dedicated to providing emergency food assistance to families and individuals in Northern Denton County who are facing hunger insecurity since 1974. With an all-volunteer Board of Directors, the center strives to alleviate food insecurity by offering a central community storehouse and ensuring that no one is turned away without food.

In response to the current economic conditions and the COVID-19 pandemic, Denton Community Food Center has adapted its distribution process to reduce personal contact and protect vulnerable individuals, while still fulfilling its mission. Clients can request food once a month and receive approximately enough food for a family of four for a week, ensuring that their basic needs are met.
