Brownsville Adult Education

Through small classes, close student-faculty relationships and an engaged community, teaching and learning flourish at St. Mary’s. We offer a variety of academic programs in humanities, sciences and business and options to pursue graduate, doctoral and law degrees. Our students engage in learning and social opportunities through undergraduate research, internships and community engagement.

Kenmont Montessori School is an independent, secular school in Brownsville, Texas serving over 300 students 18 months through 8th grade. At Kenmont, we encourage students at every age to take responsibility for their own learning and learn by doing. They can express and be themselves and learn to grow and become their best selves. Our students learn that as the world around them grows and changes, they can too. However, it's important to always be true to yourself.

The Brownsville Academic Center is an alternative education institution that offers a range of learning opportunities for students in grades 6 through 12. The center conducts classes in special education, social studies, mathematics, English and Spanish. It maintains a library, as well as supports an accelerated reader program. The Brownsville Academic Center also provides group, individual, and family counseling and related social services. The center offers instruction in psychology, art, history and economics. It additionally supports the Performance Training Program, which is a boot camp. The Brownsville Academic Center provides research-based reading intervention services. The center is governed by the Brownsville Independent School District.
