Established in 1996, Community Hospice of Texas is an independent, community-owned provider of health care services. The facility specializes in serving the needs of terminally ill patients. Visiting Nurse Association of Texas, located in Dallas, is one of the oldest hospice providers in Texas for patients suffering from a terminal illness. Symptom management, in-home medical equipment and bereavement counseling are provided by professionals and volunteers. The staff also helps people who need ongoing supportive care for acute or chronic health problems. VNA provides specialized programs designed to meet the needs of people in more than 20 counties in the state. The counties include Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Henderson, Hill, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rains, Rockwall, Tarrant, Van Zandt and Wise counties.
