History

BlindSide Boxing Gym was born from a father-son training experience turned into a community and a thriving business. Hugo Mendez, passionate about boxing from an early age, began training his son, who today holds a world title from Ringside World Tournament. With his success can more students, until Hugo opened BlindSider Boxing Gym to give one and all the opportunity to train and succeed.

Specialties

Austin has a new kind of gym in town. At BlindSider Boxing, we're training the next generation of athletes to work hard, be strong, and stay on top. Our students can start as early as age seven, participating in classes of 16 to 20. Athletes of all ages and skill levels are welcome, and can expect to receive all the benefits of a sport based in discipline, agility, and strength. Whether you choose to take your skills into the ring to compete (like our national champions) or you're just looking for a fun way to challenge yourself, we're here to build you up and push you to succeed.
