In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. I'll agree with the 3 star. Cool decor, cool menu, lots of options. Big menu! Staff was awesome. Stopped in for lunch. Here is the 3 star part. Food quality was just ok. I could've cooked at home....

The bowl of chili was very good. The onions and cheese made it even better. The service was excellent with a young lady who took care of us. The restaurant is very clean and decorated beautifully.
