Mustard Design

Eric Mustard was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1983. Early in his senior year, Eric was hired by the Texas Historical Commission as an architectural consultant with the state-sponsored Main Street Project, assisting various small Texas towns in restoring their historic downtown buildings. This influenced Eric's decision to relocate to a small town to continue his training and passion for architectural design. In 1993, following nine years of employment with an established firm, Eric began his own firm, Mustard Design/Architecture & Planning, in Fredericksburg, Texas. His twenty years of work in the field have provided vast opportunity in a variety of architectural styles, such as the familiar Hill Country Log and/or Limestone, French Country, Spanish/Mediterranean, Prairie School, and Arts & Crafts. His projects include both large and small, historic and modern construction. Eric's work may be seen throughout the Hill Country in storefronts, homes, ranches and businesses. Though his work has primarily been in the Hill Country, he has designed for clients throughout Texas and occasionally out of state. One such project took him to the North Carolina coast to oversee the restoration of an historic family estate designed in the early 1900s by noted architect, Henry Bacon, designer of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.Please refer to the testimonial section of the web site, as well as our photo gallery, to learn more about Mustard Design/Architecture & Planning RANGE OF SERVICES
