HistoryIn 2005, Sumner County was in desperate need of a bank that truly did have the best interests of the local community at heart. Sumner Bank & Trust was organized to fill this need. We at Sumner Bank & Trust are a true local bank, comprised of only local shareholders. Our operations, policies, and day-to-day business are overseen and run entirely by local management. Our board of directors is composed solely of local business people who, in conjunction with 17 local organizers, provide a strong foundation for Sumner Bank & Trust.SpecialtiesBeing the only bank in Sumner County with a local board means that every decision we make as an organization, we make right here in town with the aim of benefiting our local customers and community. We make these decisions because each and every one of us is also a part of the Sumner County community. The interests of our clients and the interests of management team are aligned in a way that is not possible for larger banks. Our first location, West Broadway, was opened in 2005 in Gallatin. The second location was opened 2 years later in 2007 on Browns Lane. Our third location was opened another 2 years later in 2009 on Indian Lake Blvd in Hendersonville.
