Rock Island State Park has a strange layout but is jam-packed with interesting sites. If you stop in the Visitor Center, they have maps and written directions on how to hit the highlights easily....

This park is known for its cascading waterfalls and beautiful water. This park is great for fishing, but it is recommended that swimmers be weary of the dam, and waters of unknown depths due to possible deadly currents. Some of the nicest TN State Park cabins available are in this park, along with many camping sites. Picnicking and freestyle kayaking are also enjoyed at this park. What a beautiful well maintained park! The falls area is amazing. The trails and the bridge access are well worth the hike.

Easy way to see breathtaking waterfalls without the hike! It's right off the side of the road. On the map it's called Twin Falls, so I found it difficult to find on Yelp. You can walk down closer...
