Established in 1989, Axis Fabrication & Machine is a sheet metal fabrication company, headquartered in Rockford, Tenn. The company has a 34,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, and employs more than 30 personnel. It uses state-of-the-art equipment, including the Trumpf L3030 4,000 watt laser, with a working surface of 60- by 120-inch, that can cut upto 1-inch thick steel, Mazak computerized numerical control machining and turning centers and CNC milling machines. Its equipment inventory also includes manual milling machines, manual lathes, a Charmilles wire electrical discharge machine and form 20 ZNC Diesinking EDM. It also employs Moore 3 jig grinders, Okamoto automatic surface grinders with DRO six by eighteen travel and twelve by twenty four travel, Charmilles surface grinders with DRO six by eighteen travel and Lucifer red devil heat treating furnaces. The company uses Solidworks as its primary computer aided design system.
