From a modest beginning in 1946, Langston Companies has become a full-line independent United States bag company. It is primarily a converter of paper and woven textiles into sacks, bags, wrappings, containers and covers. Langston is headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., at one of three large manufacturing plants. Multiwall paper shipping sacks are made at a modern facility located in West Memphis, Ark. The Memphis location is the principal manufacturing site for the firm's cotton bale packaging products, textile bags and provides general and administrative offices for the entire company. Flexible intermediate bulk containers are produced at the company's Louisiana subsidiary, Continental Bag Company, located in Crowley, La. Light manufacturing and regional distribution are accomplished at five additional warehouse locations in Lubbock, Texas; Tulare, Calif.; Monterrey, Mexico; Phoenix; and Delray Beach, Florida.
