Hamilton County School District

Established in 1959, DuPont Elementary School is an educational institute that provides education to elementary, middle and high school students. Based in Chattanooga, Tenn., it is a part of Hamilton County Department of Education, which provides a range of curriculum in the areas of Technical Education, Special Education, Federal Programs, Humanities and others. The average class size of the school is 19:1 in grades K-3 and 22:1 in grades 4-5. The institution follows the district-approved curriculum, comprising of literacy daily, mathematics instruction, science, social studies and related art courses.

Chattanooga Valley Middle School educates students in grades six through eight. The school has a parent-teacher organization that organizes various fundraising events and guidance and counseling sessions. Its academic curriculum includes social studies, science, math, language arts, computers, and health and physical education. The school offers extracurricular classes in music, band and chorus. It has a library that provides a collection of encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, fiction and nonfiction books, magazines and newspapers. The school s athletics department offers several sports activities, including football, baseball, basketball, softball, golf, soccer, and track and field. Located in Flintstone, Ga., Chattanooga Valley Middle School also provides special education programs.
