Kurtis L. Kowalski, MD
BIOGRAPHY Dr. Kowalski graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1993 with a degree in chemical engineering and completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1997. He completed a one year internship in general surgery before spending two years as a flight surgeon stationed in Germany with the US Army. He completed his orthopaedic surgical residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington in 2004. He has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons since 2006 and completed sub-certification in Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2008. He is a member of staff at Tennova Healthcare, Centennial Medical Center and Surgical Care Affiliates. Dr. Kowalski has been practicing in the Clarksville area since 2004, stationed at Fort Campbell, during which time he deployed to Afghanistan. After 13 years in the US Army, he joined TOA at the Clarksville office in May 2010. Dr Kowalski's interests are in sports medicine, joint replacement, and general orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Kowalski is an avid marathon runner and has completed the Boston Marathon eight times. He is an Eagle Scout and currently active in the Boy Scouts both here in Clarksville as well as nationally. He enjoys canoeing, skiing and backpacking with his wife and four children.

BIOGRAPHY Dr. DeVries earned his Degree in Medicine at George Washington University in 1989 after receiving an undergraduate Bachelor's Degree from Drew University. He completed an internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1990 and a residency in orthopaedics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1996. He has been certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 1998. Dr. DeVries has been practicing in Clarksville since 1998, joining Tennessee Orthopaedic Associates along with his colleagues at Premier Medical Group in 2007. BIOGRAPHY Alison Cabrera, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in shoulder and sports medicine. Originally from Garland, Texas, Dr. Cabrera earned a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she also completed her residency in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. She followed up her residency with an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Shoulder fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After growing up watching her own mother pursue medical school, Dr. Cabrera was inspired to use her own gifts to help others. Dr. Cabrera has herself been an Orthopaedic surgery patient on two occasions, having had ACL reconstruction and a later revision reconstruction. Dr. Cabrera has performed extensive research on reverse shoulder arthroplasty, and has published scholarly articles on ACL reconstruction and scapular winging, provided professional presentations, and contributed her knowledge and expertise to medical textbooks used for teaching medical and Orthopaedic students. She currently sees patients and performs procedures at TOA's Clarksville location. Dr. Cabrera is a member of staff at Tennova Healthcare and Surgical Care Affiliates in Clarksville, Tennessee. Dr Cabrera serves as a team physician for Austin Peay State University as well as many local high schools. Dr. Cabrera enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a physician, and their son. They enjoy Crossfit and being active outdoors.
