To be eligible for an award, the member must enter at the State Fair in one of the categories below. See SD State Fair 4-H Division Fair Book for more details. Soybean Science Kit The Soybean Science Kit provides a hands-on soy experience for students. The kit serves as a complete science lab, containing everything necessary (with the exception of a very few readily available household materials) for 30 students to participate in 21 hands-on experiments and exercises, including two new biotech lessons, an interactive CD and instructional videotape. It's designed to assist teachers in meeting the National Science Education Standards, particularly with 4th to 9th grade interdisciplinary curriculum. Over 95% of the elementary schools in South Dakota have received the kit.
