Using three-dimensional technology, radiologists can better detect breast cancer deep within the tissue. A 3D exam finds 20 to 65 percent more of invasive breast cancers where early detection is critical to recovery. With 3D's clarity and depth, fewer patients will have to return for second mammograms.

Margaret Becker, M.D.,DTMH, FAAFP, is board-certified in Family Medicine and specializes in Travel Medicine at Spearfish Clinic North 10th St. Dr. Becker obtained her medical degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks. She trained in Family Medicine in Ohio at Summa Health System, Akron City Hospital, and practiced at Black Hills Veterans Affairs for 8 years before coming to Monument Health in 2015. She received her Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene after completing the University of Minnesota Global Health course, and is certified in Travel Medicine through the International Society of Travel Medicine. Her clinical interests include the care of patients of all ages, women's health and wellness and the practice of travel medicine.Originally from Great Falls, MT, Dr. Becker lives in Spearfish with her husband and two children. In her down time, she enjoys hiking and backpacking, travel and reading.

Dr. Byrd was born and raised in Newcastle, Wyo. and grew up visiting family in the northern Black Hills. She is a skilled audiologist with 17 years of experience who specializes in testing the hearing of patients of all ages. Dr. Byrd also provides hearing aid consultations and fittings. She is compassionate and dedicated to helping her patients hear and communicate better to improve their quality of life. Dr. Byrd enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
