Welcome to Custer's Gulch RV Park where wildlife, such as deer and elk roam around the grounds just as they did 125 years ago when General Custer camped in this very same spot while on his expedition to the Black Hills. Custer's Gulch, one of the newest RV parks located in the Black Hills, has over 60 full service sites. Located near the west entrance to Custer State Park and less than 3 miles from Custer City, this allows easy access to all the most popular tourist attractions. The links above will give you helpful information while planning a fun filled vacation in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. The beauty of the Black Hills surrounds Custer's Gulch RV Park and Campground, our South Dakota RV park near Mount Rushmore. Join us for amazing camping activities like hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, golfing, ATV riding, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives. With our proximity to attractions like the Crazy Horse Memorial and Wind Cave National Park, you're sure to find plenty to enjoy when you camp at our family-friendly RV park! Plan your visit today with our easy-to-use online reservations system. Custer's Gulch RV Park and Campground is conveniently set near Highway 16A, just half a mile from Custer State Park. We're near stunning scenic drives to Harney Peak and along the Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road. And we're a great place to stay for the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Custer Gold Discover Days, and the July 4th celebrations at Mount Rushmore. We offer superb facilities at Custer's Gulch RV Park and Campground with our free wi-fi wireless internet access, full hook-ups for RVs, clubhouse, volleyball, and horseshoes. Our Black Hills park makes a perfect home base for day trips to dig for bones at the Mammoth Site, explore the caves at the Jewel Cave National Monument, or go bike riding along the Mickelson Trail. This is also a terrific place to look for wildlife like bison, elk, and prairie dogs or to visit the wild mustangs at the Wild Horse Sanctuary. Custer's Gulch RV Park and Campground also has its place in history. In August of 1874 the exploratory Black Hills Expedition of General George A. Custer made this the site of their permanent camp. The Gold Discovery that started the rush of 1875 was on nearby French Creek. Modern day visitors can enjoy the beauty, history, and climate of this valley that has enticed people for over a century.
