Shred First has been operational since 1997 and is one of the largest materials destruction companies in the United States. It provides destruction services for a variety of products, such as grills, CDs, computers, toys and shoes. The company specializes in recycling various hard-to-sell items, such as papers with glue, staples, paper clips, heavy-print items and plastic materials. In addition, Shred First offers equipment sale and leasing programs. Its sister company, Total Records and Information Management, serves the records, media and information management needs of the company. It has implanted video surveillance systems, on-site facility security guards and global positioning tracking systems for the monitoring and tracking of the process of plant-based secure destruction. Shred First also provides on-site document destruction services and has a fleet of mobile shredding trucks.
