Established in 1875, Thornwell Home for Children is a nonprofit organization that offers care services for children and youths who suffer from emotional problems. The organization serves South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. It provides counseling and relationship development services. Thornwell Home for Children serves more than 100 children annually. The organization offers residential services that include cottage-based communities for children. It provides church school classes, worship services, youth group activities and prayers. The organization features mission trips, weekend retreats, summer camps and conferences. In addition, it offers opportunities to participate in choir programs. Thornwell Home for Children is a ministry of Presbyterian Church.
