Kristine & Chris Jenkins are originally from upstate New York and have lived in the Myrtle Beach area since 1989. They are certified to teach in NY & SC and have worked in Early Childhood Education since 1997. They've always been drawn to working with children, and thoroughly enjoy their profession. They are passionate about kids of all ages and stages and pride themselves on their caring attitude and professional work ethic. Our owners are "hands-on", everyday working owners, who look forward to getting to know each child and each family. Originally opened in 2004, Kristine & Chris Jenkins assumed ownership of the Carolina Forest Child Development Center in April of 2007. This wonderful facility is a DSS licensed facility for 165 children. The Center provides each child with three meals per day for children who eat table food ( non-infants ) and ensures that all meals meet strict USDA serving standards. We have classrooms for infants, toddlers, twos, two/threes, threes, preschool ( 4/5 ), a fun filled summer camp and we host an afterschool program serving children from the Carolina Forest school district. We even offer after school pick-up for Ocean Bay elementary and Carolina Forest elementary students. We love and care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old and every age in between. Our hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 6: 30 a.m. to 6: 00 p.m.
