Megann Kathleen Helton-Rieter, MD

Kelly Celek is a board-certified physician assistant working with the orthopaedic foot & ankle team at MUSC Health. Kelly treats patients in the outpatient setting, treating common foot and ankle injuries and conditions, while also preparing patients for surgery. Prior to joining MUSC, she practiced in both orthopaedic trauma and emergency medicine specialties here in Charleston, SC. She received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Wake Forest School of Medicine. Formerly from Nyack, New York, Kelly received her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina with honors. While there, she was a pole vaulter on the Division 1 Track and Field team.

Dr. Christopher E. Gross is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery currently serving as the Director of the Foot and Ankle Division and Fellowship Director at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgery after completing his residency training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He graduated from Harvard Medical School. As an orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Gross is interested in complex reconstruction of the ankle in addition to cartilage injuries that range from small defects to end-stage ankle arthritis. With his partner Dr. Scott, he has developed a multidisciplinary research division by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, improved implant design, and long-term patient outcomes. He is the author of over 90 published journal articles, 30 textbook chapters, and is the editor/author of a textbook about Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgery. He has over 250 national and international presentations relating to orthopaedics.

Dr. Voss is a fellowship trained total joint surgeon currently practicing in Charleston, SC at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is originally from Indiana and received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in 1982. He studied Biochemistry as his major and played water polo. In 1986 he completed his medical training at Harvard Medical School. He completed two years of general surgery at the Brigham and Womens' Hospital and then 4 years of orthopaedic surgery residency in the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program. A one-year fellowship in joint replacement at Rush Presbyterian in Chicago followed. For the first 29 years of practice, he worked for the USC School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. His practice has focused on hip and knee replacement surgery. He also performs osteotomies around the knee. He and his wife Tracy, an internist, moved their practices to MUSC in the Spring of 2022. Since 2003 he has been involved in coding for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He started out as the representative from the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons to the AAOS Coding and Reimbursement committee. Since 2016, he has served as the AAOS representative to the AMA Current Procedural Technology committee. There he helps present new codes and helps to define their utilization. He has a wife and 3 children and one grandchild. His avocations are swimming, triathlons, and games.
