Mast General Store

Founded in 1883 as Taylor Store, Mast General Store is a chain of retail stores. W. W. Mast bought half interest in the retail establishment in 1897 and then in 1913 purchased the remaining half of the enterprise. Mast General Store specializes in providing a range of apparel, fashion accessories, footwear, jewelry, belts and sleeping bags. The store offers products from various brands, such as Fox River, Thorlo, Wigwam, Montrail, Mountain Hardwear, Patagonia and Royal Robbins. It provides a variety of regional books, lamps, toys, pottery, decorative items and candies. In addition, the store sponsors various events, including Banff Film Festival, Watauga River Run, Lake Logan Triathlon and Farm Heritage Days. With more than five locations, Mast General Store maintains a presence in Greenville, S.C.
