LuAnn Aquino, MD

I was born in Japan and moved with my family to Colorado when I was 3 years old. Even at a young age, I found joy in helping others. Combined with my love and aptitude for science, that led me to pursue a career in medicine. \n My goal as a physician is to change my patients' lives for the better. I'm board-certified in family medicine, and have extensive training in preventive health and gynecology, and my clinical interests include heart disease and hypertension, mental health, diabetes, arthritis/joint pain and weight management. \n Outside the office, I enjoy running and baking. My husband, our two daughters and I also enjoy exploring the Lowcountry and all its natural wonders.

Gwen Minzes DO is a Board-Certified Pediatrician practicing in Beaufort, SC. She received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed her Pediatric Residency at The University of South Alabama (USA). Her clinical interests include pediatric asthma, follow up of medically complex NICU graduates, and care of the well child. Her research while at USA focused on improving the management of pediatric asthma in the clinic setting. She is very excited to continue to serve the Lowcountry community with MUSC.

Dr. Lindsay Weirich is a dedicated pediatrician specializing in comprehensive primary care for children from birth through adolescence. She completed her pediatric residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was recognized for her clinical excellence and commitment to pediatric health. Dr. Weirich earned her medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. Board-eligible and certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation, Dr. Weirich focuses on preventive care, childhood vaccinations, and management of chronic pediatric conditions. Her clinical interests include early childhood development and adolescent mental health. In addition to her medical expertise, she has a passion for community health and contributed to local and international health care projects. Dr. Weirich's dedication to compassionate, family-centered care ensures that her young patients receive personalized, high-quality medical attention for a healthy foundation in life.
