Lindsey Willis, MSN, FNP-BC, CDCES, is a family nurse practitioner specializing in endocrinology at the Medical University of South Carolina. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2019 and graduated from Lander University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2012. She worked as a registered nurse for seven years prior to starting her graduate degree, working primarily in kidney and liver transplant.Lindsey has worked with MUSC since 2017, but joined the Endocrinology Division in January 2020. She specializes in diabetes management (inpatient and outpatient). She works with patients in the Endocrine Transplant Clinic, managing the care of heart, kidney and liver transplant patients who have diabetes and/or steroid induced hyperglycemia. She is very passionate about diabetes care, specifically within the transplant population. Lindsey also works with complex patients in the hospital on the Diabetes Management Service. Lindsey's extensive clinical training and nursing background allows her to provide comprehensive care, with a meaningful approach. She believes in a collaborative approach to health care, with an emphasis on prevention and education. She most recently obtained her Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification to better support her patients in optimizing their health goals.
