Grace Elizabeth Baker MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina in 2015 while also playing Division I tennis. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 2017. From there she gained employment at Duke University Hospital in the Cardiothoracic Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) where she specialized in taking care of individuals acquiring both heart and lung transplants as well as those on life support devices such as ECMO, LVAD, RVAD, Rotaflow, and IABP’s. Ms. Baker worked in the CTICU for two years before beginning her Master’s program at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. In 2020, she graduated with honors receiving a Master of Science in Nursing with an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specialty. After becoming certified as a nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Ms. Baker became an Intensive Care Unit travel nurse for Aya Healthcare where she took a position at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). In January of 2021, Ms. Baker officially moved to Charleston, South Carolina and began working as a nurse practitioner for MUSC Physicians within the Department of Medicine- Cardiology Division, Heart Failure and LVAD team.
