Deirdre Sams Williams, DDS, MS

A diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, Dr. Michael Cotter, brings extensive patient care experience from private practice and academic health center settings.He established his practice in Mount Pleasant, SC, in 2021 after he and his family relocated from New York, where he had founded two practices. He also practiced and taught at Montefiore Medical Center.Dr. Cotter proudly serves as a Major in the US Army Reserves. He is a founding member and past president of the International Academy of Endodontics and a member of the American Dental Association.Dr. Cotter earned his D.D.S. from NYU College of Dentistry, where he served as class president for four years. He then completed a one-year general practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center and a two-year post-graduate program in Endodontics at NYU, where he served as chief resident in his second year.

Dr. Dalton Wilson directs the removable prosthodontics student clinic within the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine’s Department of Reconstructive & Rehabilitation Sciences. He joined MUSC as an assistant professor in 2016. Patients and students alike benefit from Dr. Wilson’s extensive expertise in prosthodontics. Dr. Wilson brings a wealth of experience from his distinguished 25-year career in the U.S. Air Force, where he notably served as the chief of the prosthodontics department at Offutt Air Force Base. He received a certificate in prosthodontics from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996, preceded by a hospital-based residency in general dentistry at Langley Air Force Base in 1989 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.
