The Children’s Museum of the Upstate (TCMU) offers 80,000 square feet for fun, learning and play! As the country's 7th largest children’s museum and the first to become Smithsonian affiliated, TCMU provides an experience like no other for play-based learning and hands-on engagement for all families. Awarded First Place for Birthday Parties and Indoor Family Fun by Kidding Around Greenville, 30 unique exhibits reflecting the areas of arts, science, health, transportation, the environment and more. TCMU provides free weekly programming provides opportunities for families to further learn and discover together, and annual memberships offer unlimited visits to both TCMU locations in Greenville and Spartanburg. TCMU’s downtown Spartanburg location houses 6,000 square feet of exhibits designed to support children ages birth to 6, with a focus on early childhood development and Kindergarten readiness.
