Berkeley County Roads & Bridges department offers repair and maintenance services for various county roads. It provides roadside vegetation control, culvert repair and unpaved road grading services. The department maintains a total of more than 480 miles of paved and unpaved roads, as well as offers drainage management services for rural channels and piped and open ditch systems. It undertakes a range of projects that include road widening, drainage channel improvement, herbicide spraying and stream bank stabilization for upgrading and improving existing facilities. It additionally inspects, maintains and repairs several area boat landings and recreation sites.
