Dr. Rachel Getzenberg is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at MUSC. Dr. Getzenberg received a bachelor's degree in psychology from George Washington University before receiving her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She then completed her general psychiatry residency at the University of Louisville, followed by a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Getzenberg has a strong interest in treating mental health conditions of young people, especially kids and teenagers with medical illnesses. Dr. Rebecca Kilpatrick is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Bio-Behavioral Medicine at MUSC. She completed her graduate training at East Carolina University, residency at Kansas University Medical Center, and fellowship at MUSC. Dr. Kilpatrick provides psychological evaluation and treatment services to patients with a wide variety of chronic medical conditions. She conducts pre-surgical psychosocial evaluations and primarily utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy for patients struggling with mood/adjustment to chronic illness, health behavior change, chronic pain, and other aspects of emotional and behavioral health. She is the associate clinical director of the MUSC Pain Rehabilitation Program. She also supervises interns and fellows in Bio-Behavioral Medicine.
