Army ROTC

The Army ROTC Gamecock Battalion at the University of South Carolina offers academically diverse programs and rigorous training opportunities to prepare students for a commission in the U.S. Army or a dynamic civilian career. With over 200 cadets pursuing degrees in various majors across seven campuses, the battalion focuses on developing leadership, decision-making, cultural awareness, and communication skills to enhance students' academic pursuits.

Through physical fitness training, time management skills, and a strong sense of community, cadets in the Gamecock Battalion learn to master the clock, build strength and stamina, and form lasting bonds with peers who push them to become their best selves. Scholarships and monthly stipends are available for eligible cadets, providing opportunities for personal and professional growth within the ROTC program.
