Dr. Tiberio earned his undergraduate degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh, followed by his M.D. and Ph.D. from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. His doctoral research centered on developing innovative vaccination delivery systems aimed at preventing the spread of HIV. He completed his residency at Yale University where he implemented an HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis clinical program. Most recently, Dr. Tiberio completed his fellowship at UPMC, where his research focused on sedation practices in critically ill, ventilated patients with a prior history of substance use disorder. Dr. Tiberio has authored numerous publications, received several teaching and research awards, and has presented his work at regional, national and international conferences. Dr. Tiberio is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.
