Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dr. Nakayama completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He then completed a gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Nakayama holds several positions with NRG Oncology, a National Cancer Institute National Clinical Trials Network, including with the NRG Ovarian Cancer Core Committee and the NRG Ancillary Data Committee. He is also a member of Via Oncology and is involved in the development, funding, and implementation of a prospective randomized trial on intraoperative slipping.
