There are tours available, approximately 45 minutes, and its worth the $12 fee. The tour guide was knowledgeable, took questions, and did a good job explaining things. I would highly recommend...

A must add to your Jim Thorpe itinerary! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour in the old jail museum. It's small and the tour lasts about 45 minutes, but you are given unlimited time to wander around...

Jail was pretty cool. Some of it is closed. Definitely catch it if you can. Go when they open and make reservations.
