Edgeworth Elementary School

Edgeworth Elementary School, administrated by the Quaker Valley School District, serves students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers a range of learning, extracurricular and athletic opportunities. The school provides instruction in art, music, Spanish and physical education. It offers homebound instruction to any student who is unable to attend school for an extended period of time. The school provides special education, English language learners, and gifted and talented education programs. In addition, it offers guidance, health screenings, counseling, transportation and food services. The school also has a parent-teacher association that organizes a variety of programs and events, including book fairs, teachers' appreciation luncheons, family movie nights, new student orientation and holiday assemblies. Quaker Valley High School, located in Leetsdale, Pa., is governed by the Quaker Valley School District. It offers its academic and related services for the students in grades nine through 12. The high school has an enrollment of more than 600 students. It offers a wide range of subjects, including English, literature and composition, foreign languages, history, politics, economics, civics, mathematics, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, physics, chemistry, biology, research science, music, and health and physical education classes. In addition, it offers communication, construction and transportation technology, computer application, journalism, and family and consumer sciences. It also provides a library and media center, computer laboratory, and music and fine arts rooms. International Baccalaureate is also available at the school. Quaker Valley High School has a variety of sports and athletics activities that include basketball, baseball, volleyball, football, softball, soccer, bowling, golf, ice hockey, swimming, cross country and track and field.
