Wissahickon Charter School serves students in kindergarten through grade eight and has been operational since 2001. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, language arts and social studies. The school offers various special education programs to students with developmental delays, autism, deafness, mental retardation, emotional disturbance, and neurological, orthopedic, visual, speech and hearing impairments. Wissahickon Charter School also offers several support services, including speech pathology and audiology, physical and occupational therapies, and psychological and assistive technology services. Located in Philadelphia, Wissahickon Charter School has a library and media center that provides access to various online catalogs, periodicals and biographies.
