Center In the Park

Founded in 1968, Center in the Park is a community center that offers several programs and services for senior citizens in Northwest Philadelphia. The center sessions in language arts, crafts, piano, drama and storytelling. In addition, it offers opportunities for several physical activities, such as swimming, walking, aerobics, bowling and dancing. Center in the Park employs a staff of social workers, caregivers and counselors. The center additionally provides adaptive equipment and home delivery services. It offers assistance with minor home repairs and transportation to medical appointments. Center in the Park is accredited by the National Institute of Senior Centers and the National Council on Aging. The center is located in Philadelphia and serves more than 1,000 homebound clients.
