Maddy has been active in the fitness field for more than six years. Formerly a three sport athlete in volleyball, swimming and softball at Pocono Mountain East, she went on to attend Penn State University in 2009. She participated in an intense 32-week group fitness instructor course at Penn State University Park learning basic aerobics to cycling and muscular endurance training. Maddy graduated with a bachelor?s degree in Nutritional Sciences in May 2013. Once she returned home, she dove into the fitness field by working at five different local gyms simultaneously. Maddy learned many different types of fitness that ranged from strength, cardio, flexibility training. She then proceeded to manage the group fitness department for two years at Retro located in Stroudsburg. She is an ACE certified group fitness instructor, ACE certified personal trainer, Schwinn cycling instructor, Barre Above instructor, ACE weight management certified, ACE functional training certified and TRX qualified. Maddy was the assistant swim coach at Pocono Mountain East for two years as well. Maddy believes strongly in building mental strength as well as confidence in order to succeed physically.
